DEECOY was born in the city of Rochester, New York.
He lived in a household that was heavily influenced by his Spanish culture and Latin music which included Salsa, Mambo and Cha-cha. DEECOY was born into a family of very talented musicians and singers. His father Victor Antonetti Sr. was a percussionist, trumpet player and band leader who recorded two albums and toured the world. His brothers Victor Jr. and Jose Antonetti are great musicians as well as many uncles and cousins.

He learned how to play timbales, bongos and congas at an early age very well. At age 7, Victor Antonetti Sr. put together a children’s salsa band called “Los Hijos Del Futuro”, (Children of the Future) which was only the start of his musical career. At age 13 he joined a band called “Son Seis” which consisted of a basic rhythm section. Soon he joined his family’s band “Orchesta Antonetti”.

Although he performed Latin music with his family, hip-hop was starting to expand and soon became the way of most teenagers’ life including his. He would rap freestyle with his brother Jose, break-dance and was influenced by Run-DMC, KRS-1 and many other hip-hop artists. DEECOY received a scholarship to one of the best music schools in the world, The Eastman School of Music, in which he learned a more technical approach to play percussion. While attending The School of the Arts, he formed a rap group named “Rich Port”, with his cousins and friends. It included six MC’s and their producer. They soon made a big name for themselves, performing throughout the local area and regionally in some of the hottest clubs and arenas. The success of the group gave them the opportunity to put out an independent album titled “Lost Borough” which was very well received and sold many units regionally.

While Rich Port was mainly known for doing hard core hip-hop, DEECOY branched off and bridged his Latin and musical roots to create his own genre of music incorporating Spanish lyrics. In collaboration with Rich Ports’ producer, Obie, also a Latin percussionist, they have combined music from salsa to reggaeton in the form of hip-hop. He has also collaborated with Latin producers Ricky Gonzalez and Richard Marcell and hip-hop/R&B producers Battleroy and Midnite. For the past year DEECOY has been busy in the studio recording over his music. The results of his labor has been most impressive, creating over forty tracks in which twenty are fully mastered songs reflecting his unique blend of reggaeton, salsa, merengue and hip-hop.

DEECOY has played percussion for some of the biggest names in Latin music such as Willie Colon, Jerry Rivera, Rosalyn Sanchez, Rey Ruiz, Wendell Rivera, Yolandita Rivera, Hector Tricoche, Los Hermanos Morenos, The Lebron Brothers, Obie Bermudez, the late Tito Puente, Ray Sepulveda, Johnny Rivera, Tony Vega, Ismael Miranda, Kevin Ceballo, Soneros Del Barrio, Rafael DeJesus, Frankie Negron, Anthony Cruz, Luisito Rosario, Paquito Guzman, Cano Estremera and Einllo to name a few. He has also played with Cabo Frio, Jimmy Highsmith Jr., country superstar Shania Twain, Abraham Wilson, Speak Easy and FB5.
